i finished my 1st year at a hagwon and i'm suitably qualified, so... i want to move up. however i haven't had much luck finding uni jobs.. or failing that maybe a foreign language high school. i realize these are undoubtedly in short supply, but where should i look?

Wait until December (when they start to post for the next term) and then look at the University job listings Here or one of the other job boards.
You will have to be in Korea and be available for interviews during Dec. and Jan.
Alternatively you can send your BILINGUAL resume and cover letter to a few.
Bilingual because many times the person who makes the FINAL decisions does NOT speak English and you want to make sure you stay on their radar. |

in addition to your bilingual resume, have also a graduate degree and personality
those also help. |

Answer any uni ads as they are posted (main advertising season Nov-Jan) and apply to universities on spec especially during that main hiring season. You can even go in person and ask if there are any vacancies going.
You need to be in the right place at the right time with the 'right' application. |
