I remember somebody mentioning a device that you physically hook up to your television and then you can connect to a website and watch TV from anywhere in the world? What was the name of that device and does it work well?

According to someone in this thread, they researched it and found out that AFN Prime will not be showing games. I haven't had a chance to confirm that, but there are some suggestions in that thread of other ways to get NFL broadcasts.

Is there anyway for non-mil personnel to order the premium AFN channels?

Seoulsucker,

That's a good question. I wish I knew that answer to that one.

You can watch it either here where you are guaranteed to get games http://streamtvnow.tv/ for about 4k won/mth thru winamp or here where it's hit and miss with free tv streaming on FOX CBS ESPN etc on a player you download. I watched the Miami FSU game on ESPN today and had great reception throughout. http://www.tvunetworks.com/downloads/index.htm

Slingbox is also good but it's hardware bound and is about to be replaced I'm told by some new software technology like the TVU software

That player for www.viideoo.com is pretty good. It has ESPN, ESPN2 as well as ABC. I don't know what station the ABC network broadcasts from, but it's a guarantee for Monday Night Football and some of the weekend games. You can also pickup the Comedy Channel and watch the Dave Chapelle show. Funny stuff, mang.

Mod Edit: Removed racial remark.

Well look at this. All of the sudden the NFL is providing internet video. And it says you can watch games for up to 24 hours after they are first broadcast, which is great. But I looked at the demo and it was all jerky. Anybody else checked this out?
