If you quit your job early, your employer MUST go with you to immigration to tell them? And does their going and tellin immi. your release letter?

Who fixes the date that your visa expires? How long after your last day of work must you leave?

No(i don't think so) and no...

You just need to get your employer to sign the official release letter and get it dated......going to immigration without a release letter will NOT release you from your contract, you NEED the official release letter.
It would probably be better to go with your employer as they can explain the situation a lot better than you can, I actually don't think i know anyone that has gone to immigration without their employer but I am sure it can be done as long as you have the release letter....

In my experience it is an agreement between your employer, yourself and immigration.......I was given 2 weeks when i got released from my last contract in June.
