Is Baking Soda available in Korea?
And if so, what is it in Hangeul?
Thanks

at all the little tiny corner stores by my house (not the 7-11's - the privately owned ones) - baking soda is called "baking soda" - written in English on the container.
Just keep your eye peeled - it's not hard to find around here.

If you can't find it in English, it's (I'm pretty sure) 식소다. Comes in a small white packet.

Yellowish box or plastic container. It is often in the VEGETABLE section of the store because they use it to wash their veggies. It is known as baking soda and it is written on the box in English (arm and hammer brand no less).

At Homeplus, it's in a plastic bag with the baking supplies and labeled "baking soda" in English. At Kim's Club and Emart, you can get the orange box of Arm and Hammer in the cleaning supplies aisle.

Sometimes, at the mom and pop supermarkets, it's in clear, square plastic packs that look similar to the packs of salt from the same manufacturer. The type I'm referring to is simply labeled 'so-da' in hangeul.

The baking soda seems to be holding its own versus the stink-fooot eminating from my shoes in their shoe closet; the shoes, however, are providing a formidable, not to mention odoriferous, opposition.
