Hey gang,
My husband and I are looking at moving to Korea. One of my concerns is that we have an 11 month old. He'll be 1 to 1-1/2 by the time we leave the US. Has anyone had experience with a baby/toddler while living and working in Korea? Do you think we should wait until he is older (maybe 2 or 3)? I'm completely unfamiliar with Korean culture, and I'm uneasy with this situation. Any advice you guys can give would be spectacular! Thank you! Bobbi |

Your little one will be a superstar and the celeb of the year in your neighborhood. This is NOT meant in jest. You will have no more problems with him here than you would have at home.
This place is NOT very baby safe (no safety standards compared to home) but it is certainly VERY baby friendly. Just use your own common sense about baby/toddler safety issues and you will be fine.
Side note about safety issues: Just because a baby CAN ride in a car without a car seat doesn't mean it should. Just because Korean kids often run across the road without looking doesn't mean your kid should. Check your baby toys for loose parts BEFORE you give them to the baby. |
