Hi all,
I'm trying to decide on an agency to use for booking a ticket to Bangkok in the beginning of November. I've been quoted a few numbers over the phone, but told they can't finalize it for another week (or three) For those that have flown Seoul - Bkk and back, about how much did you pay?
A buddy also told me to expect to pay 1/2 the ticket price in taxes!! WTF!
Is this standard in Korea? I'm confused.
Thanks a Million Won. |

Just booked two tickets to Phuket for middle of October through Xanadu travel; 02-795-7771 5th floor KEB building in Itaewon. Anyway, the tickets are 600.000 each but that includes the 60 or 70.000 for the leg to Phuket and back. So something around 500-530 or so should be alright I think. It was the same price as offered on whypaymore.co.kr. Eva air on that wbsite seems to be cheaper just to Bangkok though. Call the travel agent I think they can book Eva as well. It means a stop in Taipei on the way there and back. |

Wow! That's so much more expensive than I thought it'd be. I too, have called Xanadu, and though they haven't confirmed yet (my dates are in Nov.) she did say to expect around 430,000. (!) I thought it'd be cheaper in what is clearly the off-season for ROK and for Thai.
Oh well. I'll try to get a K friend to check some Korean travel websites for something cheaper.
Xanadu is touted heavily by other waygooks and seems to be an organized agency.
Thanks for your response, rok. |

November may be the off-season for ROK, but it's the beginning of the high season for Thailand. 430k seems very cheap. Even 600k sounds reasonable. |
