I'm currently running a dual monitor set up on my home pc. It's time to get a bit decadent and add a third monitor. Anyone do this? I guess I need to have another video card installed? Any tips or warnings about doing this? |

Need 2 video cards if they are Nvidia.
Only 1 if it's AMD/ATI but it's going to need to be a pretty strong card.
Also depends if you will be gaming or not. Need huge power to game on 3 monitors.
Installation wise it's easy. Make sure you download the latest drivers, plug the 3 screens in and the driver (control panel) will have a place for the settings. |

However, if you're NOT gaming on all 3, you can get a cheap card to power your 3rd monitor (geforce 6800 kind of thing). It will run pretty much everything you want fine; just not high end games or some publishing stuff. All depends on what you want to do with your 3 screens.
You should also make sure you have a 2nd pci express slot. |
