CNN tonight had an infomercial sponsored by the Korea Free Trade Zone. The highlighted company: SKYPE.
As far as I have heard, Korea is blocking (all?) (most?) (some?) internet calling services. So, it had to make me chuckle to see a "Korea FREE TRADE zone" being touted by highlighting a company it is blocking from doing trade in Korea.
Oh, okay . . while I got you . . Yep, that way the Koreans slip into the winter mode once the calendar says it should, or could, be cold out . . really has been one of my amusements over the years! Glad to see I'm not the only one who has observed this. Was on a bus the other morning; temp outside about 23 C; heater on full blast - - warming the bus to the point that just a month ago would have had the passengers calling up to the driver to turn on the AC. |

There was a thread in the VOIP forum a while back about various VOIP services being blocked... it went into detail as to what was and what wasn't allowed... as far as I can remember Skype wasn't going to be effected... it'd be strange too since it's one of the 5 bottom rate countries on the SkypeOut call charges |
