I'm tempted to walk in and say "Cut it like Anakin Skywalker," but that's been done before.
Anyway, what are some basic phrases to use when getting a haircut? Please help out, and add a few of your own that I've missed.
- Don't use the razor To avoid that "U"-shaped fade or the bullcut.
- Only use scissors.
- Please cut it like in this picture (or something to that effect.)
- Cut it a little shorter, please or Cut a little more, please.
- Leave the top/sides long.
- That's fine.
- Layer, please. |

True. And they would also need to know which episode. You don't want this hair:

Ha, the adjosshi fade! That's why in 2 years I haven't gotten my haircut in Korea once. Compulsory military service has, in my estimation, contributed to (1) a lack of good guitar-based music and (2) an abundance of bad haircuts in the male population in Korea. |

| I am terrified getting my hair cut here every time. The first few times, I was given a stylish Asian boy band haircut. After that, but girlfriend comes with my EVERY time to describe exactly what I want. Even then it isn't always good, but it isn't too bad. |

Find a place that does it how you want. Train them into it, no matter how long it takes. Gentle encouragement and pictures, whatever. Eventually they'll get it right.
Then return there every month, even if you have to travel across seoul to do it. |

| I know a great place at JeongJa in Bundang for haircuts. My (American) girlfiriend gets her hair and nails done there also, and she loves it as well. PM for details. |
