These are just publicity shots.What comes through when the camera is really on them?
At a young age and seeing her movies at the time(eg Shanghai Triad in a small theatre in NZ,South Island ) Gong Li,I thought could enervate her character.She is a kind of 1 note actress though.Tragedy.
Err...and she has cracking jugs.
Zhang Ziyi,by contrast,I feel that before the take she takes a longer time to prepare and when she's shot its almost at her breaking point.
She strikes me so much more.

I've been in love with Gong Li for many many years. I'm a straight girl, but when I saw "Farewell, My Concubine" over ten years ago, she kindled quite the crush. Oddly enough, when I watched that movie with my lesbian friend, it was the elegant male lead, Leslie Cheung, that caught her fancy. (I'm not so much a fan of that first photo in the OP though.)
Zhang Ziyi caught my eye as well, when Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon came out. She's lithe and fiery, and plays the furious vixen very well. I saw her in a tamer role directed by Zhang Yimou (who led Gong Li down the path to stardom as well) called "The Road Home" and she didn't capture my heart in quite the same way.
So, in conclusion,
I'll take both, please. |

Purely from a physical perspective, Gong Li has quite large **** for an Asian women. Quite pretty I think as well.
I think that Zhang Ziyi has a more beautiful face though. You can't lose with either of them I think.
I loved Croaching Tiger, Hidden Dragon as well. She did a really good job. |

Gong Li holds the title right now, but if you are talking about THE most beautiful face on film, then Ingrid Bergman is #1. And THAT lady could act. (Take a look at any of her early films for the beauty, then watch her as Golda Meier at the end of her life. Stunning.) |

gong didnt look so hot in miami vice,,. actually they made her look terrible in some of the scenes.. real plain.. I guess thats how she looks fresh out of the shower.. but she scrubs up REAL FINE!!
