An opportunity for professional development has come to my attention. Perhaps some of you might be interested in either giving papers or simply attending this conference. I received this announcement through a mailing list for language researchers that I am on. The conference is in March, but paper proposals need to be submitted by Sept. 30. Eight days doesn't seem like a lot of time to prepare something, but it only has to be an abstract, not the whole paper. And if you want to go maybe you can expense it to your institution. Cheers.

The notice for that conference is up in my department's meeting/staff room and I've gazed longingly at it - PLL is where most of my research interests lie. No chance of me making it to Hawai'i though.
