I've just seen a film by a filmaker named Aaron Russo. It's a look at the way the taxation system in the U.S. works to benefit the rich while burdening the working person. An excellent film.

The most shocking revelation in the film, is that apparently Americans are not required to pay taxes at all. There has never been a law on the federal books that dictates that there shall be taxes placed on labor.

Anyway...really interesting flick...worth a download for sure. Anybody else seen it.?

Yes, don't screw around with the taxman! I think even God in America has to pay taxes! Many brave souls have tried but all have failed, attempting to evade this most "everywhere" force......

What is the name of the film?

I agree with the previous poster. I don't see the direct connection with fascism, unless in some sense you mean corporate fascism.

It is true that the term beyond referring to an unabiding faith in a person/leader and the nation as superior and faultless (that all interests, personal and private even, are subordinate to the national interest) -- it refers to closeness of business to government, that business runs govt and there is no seperation other than the illusion created by institutions.

Still, this point regarding the economics of fascism has been debated by scholars, given how different the economics of previous fascist regimes.......
