A white teacher working in an all black school won 300, 000 dollars for racial discrimination. The students called her obscenity after obscenity and threw stuff at her. The administration did nothing.

It's funny, but her case mirrors my own back in the day. I was teaching in an all black school. The only white dudes were me and another English teacher.

We went through hell. It was like a holiday for the kids. Make whitey crazy, and we won't do a darn thing to you.

I had books thrown at me. I was called every word under the sun. Some student even struck me in the head with a battery. No kidding. That was my first teaching job.

I called the principal and pointed him out. The principal gave me this crap about how I probably didn't see the real culprit.

I told the principal that the battery struck me between the eyes. The kid wasn't hiding a thing.

Anyway, I didn't know I could sue. I took off to Korea instead. That plane ride was nice.
