My Korean friend complained about the shirt she had to wear as part of her uniform, because it has bow ties at the end of the sleeves. She said it was country style. That's funny considering she wears overalls when she's not working. I have seen quite a few Korea girls wearing overalls. Guys, too, for that matter. In a city like Seoul, which is supposed to be cosmopolitan, what's up with overalls? You can't get much more country than overalls. Ugh! They may as well wear Crocs.

You don't see it so much now, with manicure shops EVERYWHERE now .. (I think there are at least 10 at COEX now)... but a few years ago I was told by a student that my cherry red pedicure was "country style" and that the "city style" was only to paint the first toe, or maybe the first two toes.

I just thought of that as lazy or too cheap to spring for a decent pedicure.

Oh, I think they are still doing that. Also, black nail polish is in. It's part of this fall's rock star/goth trend. If red nail polish is country, overalls are definitely country!
