| It seems the hiring season for public schools is August...is it a waste of time to try to get on in January? |

YES!!
August and January are the best time to apply for a Public School job...... |

They hire in late feb, early march.. January is winter vacation.. They start school again around the beginning of Feb, go to school for about a week, and than spring break.. yes it is dumb.  |

I am in SE Asia and it looks like I'll be departing my school for winter break (last paycheck would be before Xmas). I guess I'll just live on the cheap while I'm still here and plan on arriving in late Jan or Feb.
I see the random public school openings come up, but I guess these are where people quit / got fired, etc.
I'm still going to post my resume and contact the main public school recruiters. Hopefully something will work out. |
