About four years ago, this site used to really suck. I mean, it sucked big time.

It was run by a group of hacks as moderators--Lemonhead, Bulsaju, circus monkey, the Willie G, Rudyflyer, etc.

(I like Lemonhead as a person. But as a mod, he was truly disgusting.)

You couldn't post anything unless it was completely lame or ultra-leftwing.

For instance, there was a poster who used to go by the name of TomWaites. He would make posts congratulating the Muslims everytime they killed an American soldier.

I'm fine with that in the sense of free speech. But if you made a response to this clown, the mods would call you a troll and ban you. That's just the honest to God truth. You had to tow the party line, or you were thrown to the side.

But the joint has really changed. And I mean that as a true compliment. It's actually rather entertaining. I guess we have to credit the mods for not be overbearing. Who knows? Maybe it was some kind of policy change at the top. Either way, the formula really works.

Otis:

I know Tomwaitesforone very well. He's a Nova Scotian who, when tipsy, says or writes outrageous things that he does not believe in.

He's coming back to the ROK in early January when his five year Work Visa Ban expires.

He's also a very good-hearted man who looks out for his buddies.

tomwaitesforone is a good person in my estimation.
