thought id post here as no response in other forum. i havent been to korea yet but have been offered a job in a part of Seoul called Guro. What is this area like? Anyone currently living there? Is it noisy, quiet, convenient (food, transport, shopping, nightlife)...

I don't live there, but I pass through there at least once a week. I agree with what poof said--it's a concrete jungle, nothing spectacular, but it has all the conveniences you'd need and very easy access to anywhere else in the city by subway and buses. If it were a great job, I'd live there. If I could find a comparable job elsewhere, I wouldn't. |

| great! thanks for the info everyone! Guro sounds like anywhere in central Tokyo. One of the big schools has potentially offered me 2.3 and as its my first job, seems not to bad |
