Hmm... I'm a relatively new teacher and I have an occassional problem in my class. Either A) The kids are too hyper/crazy to get through the material or B) We get through the material with time to spare.
I want to do some "learning exercises" with them, and I've been running out of ideas for impromptu classroom activities. So I was wondering if anyone has any ideas for impromptu learning exercises which don't require any prep work (I already spend too much time prepping regular material)? Such as that I can write on a piece of paper and put in my pocket.
I can't think of anything good on my own that I haven't already recycled a bunch of times.
I'm looking for stuff that will help them learn new words, and activities that are fun enough to keep them focussed on me rather than each other.
Also, since I teach social studies to the 8-10 kids, maybe an activity or two that I can use social studies material with.
Thanks a million |

Not many people here biting but there is lots you can do. Also, probably searching here would be a good idea but yeah, the search feature here sucks big time...
Check out this thread and join our community for plenty of geography oriented ppt games etc....

Where the hell is Matt is great. Just let them dance and holler the countries after they know it. First time, pause, let them guess and if they can't guess the continent, then put it on a map in the class with a label/string.
Just google or watch on EFL Classroom in the videos.
Hope this helps.
