Hi all,
I'm currently talking with several travel agencies about flying to Bangkok over Christmas. What is the deal with blindly reserving tickets without knowing the cost? Is this normal practice? If we do agree to reserve tickets through an agency are they guarenteed seats? What if they are sky high (price wise)?
The agencies will not give me a straight answer? Only one place has given me the option of actually buying seats on a specific flight; end of story. Unfortunately the times are no good though?
Any advice?
Cheers. |

That's strange. I've booked a few tix to Beijing with Shoestring and they were very straighforward in quoting me the price and selling me the tix as well.
I decided on the tix that they offered me at the same price that they quoted me and no surprises.
I'm also planning on spending xmas and new years in BKK this year and just emailed a few agents for tickets.
One agency emailed me back the next day and said that they got some tix flying over japan to Bkk for only 540,000KRW. not bad compared to all the other online search engines. |

it was Ken from [email protected]
if you go to the travel agent sticky, you can get a list of agents and pick the ones that suit you, just send out a mass email to all the agents and see who gives you the best quote. |
