With 20 million princesses, it was inevitable that one would someday rise to be queen. |

It's a bit like France. Or a lot like France. Many pretenders to the throne. Weird little groups that have various plans to revive the monarchy. Nations with symbolic monarchies are good for tourist dollars. But when the line is broken, it's a bit like the session drummer trying to tour as Lynyrd Skynyrd. |

It's not just for tourist dollars. Think about it, Korean society is very conscious of status and nepotism is the norm.
It's funny that you bring up French monarchy. My family name is actually one of the oldest Norman surnames and is somewhat historically significant (knights, lords, and a national hero whose statues can be found all over France). As a matter of fact, there still is a castle standing that bears my family name. But, that's ancient history. |

Sure. I'm just saying my feeling is the best pragmatic argument for a monarchy on the dole is tourist dollars. |

I understand she lives in a palace with a big mirror and lots of make-up. She never answers text messages, and secretly wants to live in exile in the U.S.A. |
