I'm having major problems with my laptop and I'm hoping for help/diagnosis. Everytime I turn it on, it begins to start up and then powers out. It seems as though it isn't holding on to power. Is it time for a new one, or is this fixable? Any help you give me will be greatly appreciated. |

??? hmm....
Pardon me if I seem like I am stating the obvious; my intention is not to come across sarcastic:
have you charged your battery? If so, how old is your battery? Your cells may be dead and you may have to replace it. |

Do you get past the POST (power on self test)? It could be a fried motherboard, some chip got fried due to static electricity, or the power source. Hard to say. You're surely looking at taking it to a repair guy. Who makes your laptop? |
