Did my eyes fool me or did I see someone trying to open an "Italian Viking" restaurant in Jongno? |

I always thought the Vikings were Norsemen (from Norway) and smorg was Swedish. |

I don't think the Koreans (or Japanese, who I suspect came up with the term) care very much. Anyway, at this new place in Jongno you can enjoy Italian food as if you were in Valhalla partying with Odin and Thor themselves. |

In the time of the Vikings, Swedes, Danes, and Norwegians were not clearly distinguished; all were 'Norse'. As well, Scandinavians and Germans were in northern Italy and Austria-- we get 'Austria' from the 'Ostrogoths'.
So I guess there could be Viking Italian food! Great food, good wine, no table manners needed, lots of weapons, and then pillaging and wenching after (don't tell the Korean press).
