|
|
Hi Everyone
I'm having my interview for a job in SK through footprint. They seem a pretty good choice from what i've read.
I have a question for you all. In China, I go for a massage at least once a week. By massage i do mean massage and no funny business!!
It costs me just over a pound for 1 hour full body.
So the question or should i say questions are:
1) Is there such a thing as Korean massage?
2) How much is a massage?
3) Can you get a massage anywhere, like in China?
All the best |

Yea the two pole barber places will give you a sports no sex massage if you ask them. You gotta haggle over the price. Some of the ladies are real bargainers and will try and get more than half of the price of the regular sex massage from you for a no sex massage. Watch it. |

I'm curious, how much is a pound in korean won?
in the many years I have been here I have had about 20 massages.
without exception every one of them was painful.
today I'm hurting because I heard a new thailand massage place opened nearby so I went there.
being covered in a mountain of hot towels was nice but as usual it was a painful experience.
every massage I have ever had here has cost between 40 thousand and 100 thousand won. |

There are good massages around for W30,000. You get the walking on the back and all that stuff, and there are places that advertise for a foot massage and other kinds of parts of the body massage as well. They're not to bad. They got the oils and lotions and towels and all the other contraptions. Had a foot massage once, but they spent most of the time applying creams and what have you. Would have preffered if they actually grabbed my foots and twisted them or something. Nothing like getting a good stretch and a body twist now and again |

hey noodles, are you saying that in China you can get a one hour gentle massage for less than 2 dollars Canadian?
come on, the ladies must know that everywhere else in the world it's between fifty and a hundred.
does full body mean both sides?
just curious, how much for a happy ending? |

Well ed...
What can I tell you... At the moment they're blind men, not ladies! A lot of Chinese massage is performed by the visually impaired. They only give massage.. no extras But to answer you question the massage is on both sides and you more often than not, walk out smiling |

I have a very stressed/tense back and I would love to get a massage. I am female, so the barber pole idea is out of the question. Not into that. However, I would like to find a nice place in the Bundang area for a massage. Any ideas? |

Hey UCFVgirl.
I don't know explicitly the Bundang area but I can tell you that most higher end jinjilbangs and saunas have masseuses and masseurs for the respective genders. Every massage I have had here has "hurt" while in the application but I have felt great after.
I know my friend ranted and raved about a spot in Itaewon above the Burger King and before anyone gets any funny ideas, it was a woman doing the ranting.
Best bet is to ask around and take your coworkers with you to get a massage at the local sauna and have them rate the technique compared to the usual places they go.
Ask your adult students if you have any.
Just some thoughts to try to help. |

I went to the massage place in Itaewon above the burger king and it was fantastic. 60,000 Won for a sports massage. A little more for an oil massage. No hanky panky. |
