For Chusok, my wife and I have a week off. Since we are both working on our Master's, it's difficult to get away for a long period of time (at least right now). Sooooooooooooo......we'll be off to Seoul. If anyone is interested, the hotels STILL have some killer deals! For example:

2 nights and 3 days - COEX Intercontinental - 99,000WON a night or 129,000WON a night (this one includes breakfast for two buffet style). Make sure you tell them you are a Korean resident or you'll get quoted the 178,000WON rate. They automatically think business traveler the moment they hear English on the phone (has happened to me with The Ritz-Carlton, COEX Intercontinental, The Plaza, and others).

Just an F.Y.I. for those looking to do something with their significant other.

Happy Early Chusok everyone!

The missus, brat and I are also headed to Seoul for the holidays.
We're staying at the Westin Chosun. It's 150,000 for a regular room and 180,000W for an executive room.
The executive room includes access to the lounge. Free coffee and cakes during the afternoon and then free drinks from 5-8 pm. Wine, whiskey, champagne are on my list. And then free breakfast in the morning.
Three days of relaxation!
