I'm negotiating the price of airfare with my boss, and he's telling me his friend found a one-way ticket to Denver next week for 6X0,000, while the best I can find (online, Kangsan, Whypaymore) is 1,000,000.
Is it possible that there are seats out the for 400k less than what most travel agents/websites offer? Thanks all. |

This sounds like a normal cheap boss. Tell him to buy the ticket, make sure it is refundable, and you can collect what he has then proven the price is. See what he thinks of that. |

A good idea, but aren't refundable tickets usually more expensive? And I don't want to go through that trouble at all, let alone in Korea... |

Yes, they usually are more expensive And a hassle. I bet if you offer it he will just go with whatever quote you give him (assuming it's a normal quote ofcourse). Or ask him for proof. |

Just ask him where his friend found that and how you can get it. Problem solved.
And, yes, it's possible that there is that big of a difference with a special deal or promotion with one airline (e.g. maybe his "friend's" flight goes through Shaghai or L.A.). |
