I'm going to Bangkok at the end (30th) of this month. Is there any recommendations people can make? I'm thinking that hotel, restaurant, bars, and massage parlour recommendations would be nice. Also anywhere close that is easy to get to.
Also if anyone else is going to be in Bangkok at the same time and wants to meet up, let me know.
Thanks. |

Earlier this year I was in BKK and decided to try Citylodge in Sukhumvit.
It was more expensive than I usually like to pay (US $50 per night) but well worth it.

I mean if you are going to pay US $30 per night for a hostel, you may as well throw in an extra $20 and stay somewhere semi decent.
Free condoms in the room too, which I thought were a nice touch. |

Don't take the advice of the Tuk Tuk you'll be overcharged and the service won't be as good. |

In terms of 'massage' head for Nana PLAZA, Soi cowboy or the infamous Papong. You'll be kept busy, but make sure you don't get hit for a cover charge.
Agood website that gives you an insight to the nightlife of Bangkok is Thailand stories.com
same same but not different!! |

If you pay $30 for a hostel, you are not very bright. In fact, the term hostel is not used to describe accommodation here. A guesthouse room can be had for as little as $5 with something nice at $15.
Judging by what you are after OP, you might look at the following:

Anything on Soi Kasaem San 1 might work. Massage parlors are pretty much everywhere.
I will be around if you are up for a beer. I would like to pick your brain about working in Korea. |

How long are you going to be in Thailand? There are other places that are cool besides the Kok. For instance: Chiang Mai, Chiang Rai, Mai Sai, Hua Hin, Koh Samet, Koh Tao, Ayuthuya, Hat Yai National Park, Koh Phi Phi, and Phuket are worth checking out if you have the time. Been to all of 'em myself. |

Expect a lot of rain, humidity, and very warm temps going at this time of the year rather than during the Korean Winter. |

There has hardly been any rain this year. It is very brief (around an hour). Yes, it is hot, but it is Thailand! |

Chiang Rai and Mai Sai--I disagree with you on those too. |

I said Hat Yai, but I meant Khao Yai. My bad. Rumour has it that there's still a tiger or two in Khao Yai. I hope I'm spelling that right.
Chiang Rai and Mae Sai are worth checking out. |
