Why in Korea is there a huge emphasis (for women) to speak, act and appear like a little baby? At first I found it appealing but after time it has become annoying and degrading.
Turn on your TV and listen to the end of each advertisment. I will guarantee the at least 95% of them end in a woman singing a little rhyme in the voice of a toddler!
What must the toddlers think of this when grown women are stealing their fire! |

| i don't know either, but it can be very irritating if you have to spend more than the desired time with one who suffers of this desease. |

I am not sure how long you have been here, but of all the Korean women I have met who put on the 'puppy dog' expressions for children, they were able to produce the exact opposite for me.
It is a 'show' and Asians probably view television as more of a show than we do in the West. What I mean is they don't expect ad's to be like real life. We do however, and wonder why they are not.
It is like a woman I am studying ESL teaching with from Thailand, who put's on some kind of massive show each time she teaches. I realised that that is how she learnt in Thailand that teachers should be. I am more natural and like myself when teaching and this is also a product of what I was exposed to growing up.
All I am saying is it is a show and don't expect that woman to act like that alone with her man (or you). If she does then I would say she has issues. |

I've definitely met more than a few of the baby talkers. Yes, it's creepy and degrading. No, I don't get how anyone would find it appealing.
And in response to the OP, HOW could you EVER find that attractive, even for a little while. It's sooooo creepy. |

It may be the most disturbing human behavior I've ever encountered. All I can do is to tell each Korean lady, one by one, to act her freaking age. I've got a ways more to go, before I can inform them all. |

I agree. gross. So are the two guys that dress up in babeies' nappies on that comedy show.
One of my 20 year old male students whined like a baby and I told him if he did it again I'd kick him out of class. That shut him up. haha |
