My new SD smart media card is not working in my Portege. It works fine in my new Dell, but when I put it into the Portege it says that it needs to be formatted, ok... so I tell it to format the little bas*ard... and then it says that it's unable to format the disk.
The Portege is a 4000 (Toshiba) about 1Gb of Ram and a P3 CPU... would these specs preclude it from formatting a 2 Gb flash card? The card claims to be "ultra high speed", is there a chance that I need a newer driver for my flash reader on the older computer?
