That was on the 15th of Sept. The bakery worker said "next week" . I recommend pumkin pies in lieu of boxed tuna sets. Pumpkin pies cost only man won and are far more exotic than boxed tuna sets.

No, I have never seen the pies anywhere else but I stopped looking after Costco. I found pumpkin soup however.

Yeah, I was bummed about not finding them during my semi-annual Costco run last weekend. *sigh* Guess I'll have to make another trip (yes, I am willing to make a trip to Costco just for pie... so shoot me).

Semi-annual? You mean that you pay 35,000 won to make two trips to Costco? Why? Do you live that far from a Costco?

Forgive me, I was being semi-sarcastic (blame the semi-migraine). I make two big fill-up-the-car trips to Costco every year (the closest one is in Daejeon, 2 hours away).

I drop in from time to time when I'm up in Seoul to stock up on smaller items like cheese.

And yes, that is worth 35,000 won to me. Or rather 17,500 since I usually split the bill with a co-worker.

That's the cream that you spray out of a can? You can find it at a lot of the Hyundai department stores these days.

I go there perhaps 1 or 2 times per year. About this time of year, oatmeal is a wonderful breakfast treat and I buy the big box of Quaker assorted.

The other time is usually just to show my friends or students around the place and grab one of their big pizzas.

Shocked Pumpkin pie is in now?
In Daejeon too?
How long does the pumpkin pie season normally last at a Korean Costco?

Shocked Oh my god, Shocked oh my god, Shocked oh my god....
This is the best news I've heard in months.
I feel like Homer Simpson finding out that the chili cookoff has started..... come on Marge, we're missing it......

I gotta stop typing and do my own little jumpy anxious dance right now.
