I've noticed at least three threads that have been resurrected from a 3-year-old slumber. Is there a reason for this?

Discuss.

Maybe it's fall. Always makes me sentimental.

Was thinking about searching through the archives myself when I was reading those golden oldies, but now you made me feel guilty.

Guess I'll just move along. Sad

It's almost always the elderly Davers who do it. The Joined-early-2003, blue-rinse, double-knit polyester pants-suit crowd. They like to remember the old days and re-live special moments with their dearly-departed friends.

I don't bump. I just start threads that are so unpopular that they feel 3 years old.

OOOH!!! is that what "bump" means? i sometimes am reading through a thread and in the middle of it, it says "bump." it means that person has posted only to make the thread come up higher on the list of threads?

and why sometimes i'll read a post that says nothing more than "mods you may delete." what does that mean? it means delete the whole thread? delete one post? if so, then why does the post saying"you may delete" remain?

People write "you may delete" when they've said some thing daft or offensive in a throw-away jokey sort way, and they don't mind if it's struck from the record.
