The last time I visited Ilsan, I wasn't drugged and sold into indentured slavery. That's 1-for-2 for those keeping score.

Asserting dominance again, are we Sparkles?

Anyway. Something nice about Ilsan? Well, it's Scaramanga free for the moment. That has to be a plus.

Bundang is God's planned city, Ilsan the devil's.

And that's "Big Shot Sparkles" to you, Mr. Gang.

Methinks Tibby needs to get a life. This is the most useless thread I have seen in a long time. *Yawn*

Lake Park is nice in Ilsan.

Ironic. Squared.

(I agree with you that I need to get a life, though. If you're ever interested in coming to Bundang, let me know. It has 95% fewer slow mutants than Ilsan.)

Actually I have many friends in Bundang. It isn't too bad. Beats the hell out of Guri but it is nothing really special though.

Yes, Ilsan's an inoffensive enough place. I'm in northwest Seoul (Seoul proper - on lines 3 and 6) myself so I've friends and colleagues from Ilsan. Sometimes it seems everyone I meet lives there! I've been a few times and it's clean and easy on the eye, but I wouldn't wanna live there because it's too far from all my favorite places in Seoul. If an employer offered me a bigger salary to live and work there I'd do it, but other than that I can see no reason why I should want to.

Unlike Bundang, there are things to do in Ilsan after sunset. Also, unlike the majority of Northwest Seoul, its not a festering dunny of a place with few remarkable features. Its anmas are many and their prices are reasonable. Most of its subway stops have escalators and the local girls aren't adverse to doing the wild thing with even the most backward of prarie-bred Canuks or slug-witted southerners. Heck, even Kiwis get laid there. Somethimes. Oh yeah, and I used to live there. If that ain't an endorsement, you feckers wouldn't know one if it came up and asked you for 300 won for a cuppa.

It's a good place to raise a family, although it's a living hell for singles.

Yes. They have a lot of new, mostly empty office-tels. Usually a little bit off the main districts.

For instance my buddy has a place at Baekseok station. Its a massive room for an office-tel, close to 18-20 pyung. Key money was 3,000,000 and rent is 400.

I've lived in Bundang, Seodaemun and now Ilsan.

If you were blindfolded and dropped in the middle of either Bundang or Ilsan you'd be hard-pressed to guess where you were. I can't say if one is nicer than the other, the both pretty much offer the same things.

Its much faster to get to Sinchon/Hongdae from Ilsan(30 mins). But much faster to go to Gangnam/Itaewon from Bundang (30 mins).

If you like bike-riding or roller-blading or running, the Tancheon is much better than Lake Park though. Lake Park on the weekends is just retarded.
