I'm in the market for a good/decent but "well priced" recording condenser mic.
Does anyone have any experience with certain mics that they'd like to tell me about?

Me?

I'm played with several mics but I never remember the names...except the SM81 (I think it is). The Shure instrument mic ...JUST FREAKIN' BRILLIANT!

But I'm in the market for a vocal mic. From what I've read and heard, the AT3035, an audio technica mic is the benchmark in my price range at 170$ (price range being under 200$.

Anyone have any suggestions?

The M-Audio Nova and Solaris.. great mics.

I would highly recommend the Studio Projects T3 Tube Mic if you can afford it. It is outstanding. My friends recorded a fantastic album with that mic -- super vocal response and crystal clear.. especially nice if you have a decent pre-amp.. Great for vocals, but they also used it for certain live instruments..
