I love a good brownie, all chocolaty and chewy. Pure junk food, I know, but I don't care. I love 'em.

One of the several Mr. Kims in my office just brought around his Chuseok gift. One Haitai Brownie for each teacher. (It's the thought, not the cost, that counts. I keep telling myself this.)

What a major disappointment. Haitai Brownies are small--hardly more than an inch on each side, dry as a bone, hardly a whiff of chocolate. And not chewy, in spite of what the wrapper says.

Question: Can I sue Haitai for raising my hopes and then dashing them?

Just after hitting Submit, another Mr. Kim brought around his Chuseok gift. Chocolate ice cream bars. Something tells me the teachers around here are not raking in the cash--or are trying to pretend they aren't.

Laughing

I remember one of my students telling me he didn't know what a brownie is. I'm thinking I'm going to have to find an oven and bake some, one of these days.

Are the Mr Kim's just regular teachers or management?

The 4 Kims in my office are just other teachers.

I have a sneaking suspicion there were heftier gifts handed out while I was over at the Middle School...I saw several open car trunks while I was on the way out tonight.

Am I the only one who read this thread as "Hentai Brownies"? I had to click just out of curiosity!

What? Only me? Ah...

I could really go for some tentacle porn snacks myself. Luckily there's no shortage of dried squid.
