how much does it usually cost?
and when someone sends you a text are you charged for that text?
cell phones here are way different than in canada and my phone was just handed to me from my co-teacher and she really doesn't answer my questions when I ask.
I just want to know the usual is on what you all are paying and what you all know about phones in korea

You don't get charged to get one...only to send...and it's only 5-10 won per message...don't stress!! Cool

thu_tinh,

ajuma's right, don't stress about it. You should try to find a Korean friend who might be more patient in terms of explaining it to you then your co-teacher. I've been told text messages are about 30 won a piece.

There are two diffrent ways you can get a cell phone, one is prepaid and the other is a regular account. I don't understand the regular accounts because I've always had pre-paid. It's not clear which you have, but I would try to find a Korean who will help you find out.
