i didn't really have super-high hopes for this class -- they're not great with English. but it's the day before the huge holiday, they finished their midterms on Saturday, so i figured i'd bring my Boggle set.

it turns out they're really, really good at Boggle. so good that they found s h i t and a s s during the first round almost immediately. during the second round, i prayed to God that they didn't know t i t s. the third round i had to shake twice because w h o r e was staring me in the face after the first shake.

Boggle is a great idea...I should've brought my boggle set with me too. But I think I can make a generic boggle game using Scrabble letters...so sad...haha.

Isn't there some on-line version you could just boot up on the class computer?

I'm curious now as to what my high school girls would come up with.

when i collected the scraps of paper they were using to write their words, it turned out that someone found p e n i s. i didn't even see that! and shouldn't they know terms like c o c k and d i c k? how did they learn a medical term like that?

What is Boggle? Do I know this activity by some other name?

I just play it by writing a bunch of letters on the board myself. That give you a bit more control over the unacceptable words as well.
