Does anybody know whether or not you can get a job in Korea teaching ESL with a DUI? A friend wants to know...

I'm pretty sure you can. They don't check driving records of teachers here as far as I know.

There was a whole thread done on this about three weeks ago. The short answer is, it's probably not a problem. The one possible exception is public school jobs which may require some sort of criminal record check.

Christ, in USA you can even be president.

Mind you, the requirements for a teacher of English in Korea are rather higher.

I don't think it should be a problem. Like what was said before as long as you aren't applying for a University or Public School job then you'll be fine. Nothing to lose any sleep over. Very Happy
