maybe subconsiously. i'm pleased that Scotland and Northern Ireland (and Wales to a degree) are doing so well in the Euro. England have played very poorly.

but if there were an all-UK team?? wouldn't they be real champions?

no. it would just be the england team with ryan giggs and manager from scotland.

Giggs yes, Scottish manager no. McClaren was a mistake, but people like Big Sam have proven a lot more than O'Neil has - for a start, Sam has spent most of his time in England, not leaving for a relatively easy life in the Scottish league.
