Hi all,
I have found plenty of discussion on how much money I should have coming to Seoul looking for an ESL job, however, I didn't see much regarding how to actually bring the money.
Any recommendations on how I should be moving my cash. Should I bring a limited amount and then ATM it out as needed? Would a wad of cash or traveler's checks be better? What is effiecient in terms of simplicity and cost (I figure I'll have to judge the risks for myself)?
Thanks in advance,

Large denomination bills for the first couple thousand and use your ATM for the rest. 20 hundreds placed in different pockets as your backup.
Make sure (with your bank) that you will be able to use your ATM when you are abroad. It should be fine but if they know ahead of time then you shouldn't have problems or security flags. |

hey scraggs
i bought usd $1000 worth on a visa cash passport card...you use it just like a normal debit card at any atm machine that bears the cirrus/maestro logo (you can get them at american express foreign exhange booths or at foreign currency banks)
travel cheques are good but the visa cash passport card is so much more convenient....also having about $100 usd worth in cash for taxi/buses when you first arrive is a good idea
good luck
