| I was hoping someone might be able to inform me of a good place to find books for learning Japanese. I don't have a credit card to use here so I can't try Amazon or anything online. Kyobo in Gwanghwamun and Bondi & Lundi's didn't really have anything to offer. Thanks for your help. |

Hello, Rigamarole!
I like to study Japanese books which are written for Koreans.
It's easier than you may think, because the first words learned in Japanese book correlate with the first words learned in a Korean book.
Learning a third language through a second language is a bargain:
two language courses for the price of one.
You will review the Korean words which you already know.
Any Korean words which you don't already know are likely to be important gaps. |

I've seen some Kanji/Hiragana practice books in Bandi&Luni's in CO-EX mall but nothing other than that. I was also wondering if it's possible to pick up some Japanese study books anywhere in Seoul. Perhaps the best thing to do would be to pick some up the next time you visit Japan.
Also, not sure if studying from Japanese language books meant for Koreans would help the average foreigner who doesn't speak or care to speak much Korean. Just my two cents. |
