When I first began to use BitTorrent in 2004 there was little question as to which indexing site to use. Today, Suprnova is long gone and we are left with an array of diverse options. This is a comparison of today's ten most used BitTorrent sites according to Alexa.com.

Ten Most Used BitTorrent Sites:
BTJunkie - Editors Choice
BitTorrent.com
Bushtorrent & Torrentreactor (Mirror Indexes)
isoHunt
Meganova
Mininova
The Pirate Bay
Torrent Portal
TorrentSpy
Torrentz

Isohunt is not a bit torrent site. It's a meta-search engine that searches other sites for their torrents. It doesn't exactly have its own torrents.

That top 10 looks like public sites only. No membership required. Demonoid is indeed an awesome torrent site but you need membership to use it.

Hey Super...I beat your speed when I went router-less. No screenie...you just gotta believe me.

Razz

75 seconds is pretty sick though....what's that then? 500+/-Kb/s? I'm getting between 400 and 700 from public servers.

The two private trackers I use are
http://www.ipodnova.net (iPod files which are smaller than normal and download quicker)
http://www.myspleen.com (where I get my Adult Swim)

Both are easy to sign up for.
