What is EPIK like today? Most of the posts I find are from 2002 or 2003.
I just sent off a signed contract but the recruiter gives me almost no details.
She says they will reimburse me for airfare but no details so far.
She also doesn't seem to know what kind of background check is acceptable.

I like Epik. They reimburse your airfare. Are you canadian .. each country has a different background check that checks nation wide. |

Sorry. I live in the US. Missouri has a background check that takes 30 minutes if I spend $40 on gas to drive there and back. If I do it by mail it is 3 to 5 weeks. The form I signed said I would get one to them but was not specific about the time. Another post I found on background checks seemed to indicate that just about any official looking paperwork will do.
Will I be able to get my refund with an e-ticket? The United website says I can order paper documents for $20.
Will I get training if I'm arriving in October?
If I've signed the contract is it safe to buy the plane ticket now? How long will it take to get my visa? Right now I'm waiting until I get the visa number befor e buying a plane ticket. This may make me late but they will just have to deal. |

Yes, an e-ticket will suffice. Keep your boarding passes, in fact, keep everything to do with the flight(s). |

I just got an email from EPIK. I sent the question on Sept. 30.
A printout of my eticket is ok instead of a ticket. I will print everything and keep all other paperwork just to be safe. -Jeff |
