I'm in the process of filing a complaint at the Labor Board with my school and I forgot one small thing. That would be my contract. When I was getting my Visa I never made a copy of it and sent it. I was told that I need a copy of my contract in order to file a complaint. Is this true and if so how could I get a copy? I feel that it will be rather hard to get one from my school. Would immigration have a copy of it? I would really appreciate someones helps in this situation. |

Now thats funny
Immigration most likely has a copy of it but good luck getting it...you can ask the worst they can say is no.
Always keep 2 copies of the contract....one for your daily use and one for your records! |

Sorry you're having problems. Hopefully things will work out for you.
About contracts, I'm getting ready to send my application stuff (passport photos, diploma, etc). I was thinking that I should have a signed original for myself, so I've prepared two copies of the contract with my signatures to send to Korea and one copy to keep with me until I have the school's signature. Is this necessary? If something happens, will a copy of the signatures suffice? It seems emphasis is often placed on original signatures in the States.
Thanks. |

As long as you have a copy it is fine. If the school wants to refute it then they will have to produce the original. If they don't produce the original then your copy will be accepted.
There isn't as much emphasis here on the "rule of law" as there is back in the litigious states of America. They tend to take a more holistic approach akin to a small claims court back home. |
