|
|
I've done this a couple of times before, but I am just wondering if there have been any changes since 2 years ago.
Before, all I needed was my passport, my Alien Card and 50,000 won.
Is that still all I need?
I want to extend for an extra two months because the next teacher won't be starting until December 15th.
Thanks in advance. |

I went a couple of weeks ago, armed with my passport, alien card and some money. They didn't ask for any money, and I'm still not sure why. I ain't complaining though!
Also, make sure your employer gives you the other documents, including a copy of your new contract with the revised date of termination.
Oh, and don't forget to fill in one of those application forms when you get there. I did forget, and felt like a right plonka when they asked for it! Especially as I had waited half an hour for them to call my number - D'oh!! |

This is new. A revised contract?
Which application forms are you talking about? |

When you get to immigration you will see piles of white forms. It is a general application form for all services. It is in Korean and English and you just check the service you want, in your case, extension of sejourn period, stick on your photo, and fill in your details.
I am a Brit, so I didn't have to pay to extend my visa, but if you aren't a Brit you will have to buy some stamps to the value of the cost of extending your visa for your country.

If you have a new employer you need to go through the whole process from start to finish and then make a visa run.
If it is a new contract or an extended contract with the same employer then you will need your passport, ARC, new contract, copy if the business registration and 30k won for the extension.
If you want to add a multi-re-entry at the same time, add another 50k won (assuming you are not using a UK passport). |

You can make an appointment to do this over the Internet. It will save you a wait. You just need an application, your passport, ARC, a signed contract, mayb something else from your school, not sure.
Cost is 30,000. |
