This question is for people currently in Korea. Do you or have you ever placed any sports/casino bets whilst in Korea?

Just what are the laws relating to online gambling in Korea? Any chance of getting busted if one fancied a few bets on some football games?

Yes. I have bet on European football leagues and the Champions League.

Absolutely no idea.

No, methinks. I use an Australian website, perfectly legal there.

Depending where you are from, there is probably a domestic website you can use. Ladbrokes, for example, if you are British. Most sites allow electronic deposits from a debit/credit card and will also pay any winnings to the same card/account upon request.

It is also possible to visit a bookie in Korea. 100% legal. I think they are called Tozo or something similiar. They are sometimes housed together with places you can buy lotto tix. I visited one a couple of weeks ago. They had prices for the Premier League, Champions League and a few other European games. Their prices were about the same as what my online bookie quoted. Hope this has helped.
