I don't freakin' love any teams anymore, but I used to freakin' love...

Montreal Canadiens (1977-82), hometown Vancouver Canucks (1980-1995), Edmonton Oilers (1982-2001), Washington Capitals (1984-1998), Buffalo Sabres (Peca, Hasek era)

Manchester United (before Bechham, don't like David - developed a fondness for ManU because a friend of mine was from Liverpool and it was fun to have a small rivalry with her over it); Korean national team in 2002 (watched them demolish Poland and was hooked, was in Canada at the time, six months later came over, really liked their ball movement); Portugal's national soccer team (Figo!), Spain and Netherlands' national soccer team, Vancouver Whitecaps (back when i saw them win two north american championships in the early eighties with Bob Lenarduzzi and Carl Valentine).

Boston Celtics (Larry Bird days); Toronto Raptors (ONLY to watch Mighty Mouse, gave up when he left town)

Canadian women's olympic ice hockey team every time they played the u.s. team, an incredible rivalry.

Cleveland Browns

Especially the old Browns, their defensive focus, determination and constant hard work and intelligent play reading was pleasing to the chess player in me. The dawg pound feel was a bonus.

Seattle Seahawks (especially in the eighties, Steve Largent era), San Francisco 49ers (Montana and Young days).

B.C. Lions (always, especially with swervin' mervyn fernandez)
