Hi folks,
I'm hoping someone knows a source. So far, everything I've found requires a citizen number. The girlfriend has completely refused to help me seek out 뽕짝 music on the web but I have a craving (and now a deep seated desire to actually find it, then turn it up full blast with the door locked out of spite.) 
Does anyone know of an online radio station or a legal *ahem* means to download MP3s? |

How to make the ID and download the program, though? When I went to the web page it would let me type in my ID and password, but I wasn't sure how to sign up as a new user. Any advice? |

Go to http://www.monkey3.co.kr
Click 무료회원가입.
Click 회원가입하기.
아이디: ID(less then 8 digits, alphabets or alphabets+numbers(special letters)) 중복확인(Check if available).
패스워드: Password(less than 8 digits), 패스워드 확인(Confirmation)
비번찾기질문: The question you want them to ask you to indentify when you forgot your password, 질문을 선택하세요(Choose your question): 태어난 곳(Your birthplace), 비번찾기 대답(The answer)
전자우편: E-mail address, 몽키3의 정보메일 받음(I'll get news letters from Monkey 3.)
이름: Name.
전화번호: Phone number.
주민번호: Korean citizenship number. (You don't have to put that in, which is a good thing for you:))
Now just click 회원가입.
"Member registration successful...!"
Click 몽키 3 다운로드(Monkey 3 Download)
Click Monkey3 Ver 2.6.3 DOWNLOAD (It's in English..!)
Once the download is done, hit the monkey face... and click 동의(I agree), and then 다음(Next) and 설치(Install). 완료 finally!
When the program begins, click 연결(Connect). And you see the white search blank? There you are. Isn't this worth a sticky or something?

Damn dude, did you make all those screenshots yourself? That's a lot of effort. Quite nice of you. What exactly is 주소입력? Like.. how do you input your address? Three boxes... hm...
주민번호 입력하신 분만 추천인 아이디 등록이 가능합니다 means your Korean ID# can be your requested site ID?

Well, I mean this thread is about listening to bbongjjak online. But I have no idea who bbongjjak artists are, and I'm probably not alone. So I was just curious if it's possible to search by musical style, like on normal Korean music web sites, or if you have to plug in an artist name like on a p2p program. |

You can just ignore it. If you do want to put that in, click on 우편 번호 검색. Shortly, you will see a small pop-up. Type in your 읍, 면 or 동, click 찾기 and select the right one. After that, you can fill the rest of your address using the following long blank.

It means "only if you filled in the citizenship number, you can let us know the ID of the person who recommended Monkey 3 to you."

You have to find them either by artist names or song titles. The search engine will find you the mp3 files that have the key word you typed written on the file somehow. Even if you just type in 뽕짝, you can still get loads of results since there are lots of files including 뽕짝 in the file name, etc. |

The person I share a computer with, though, doesn't want me to download it because the way it progresses after you click "download the player" makes it seem like it will install lots of spyware.

I don't think it will. I didn't notice such a problem. It's not like Kazaa. |
