I have bootleg version of XP on my master drive, but I want to install a legit version on my slave drive.
I know that I shouild first unplug my master drive and istall on the slave drive. But once it is all installed, will I be able to plug in to the master drive, and boot up into the legit XP?
Any help is is thankful.

Note: I know I can change the drive around (master to slave to master), but I don't know how; my guess is that it's done in CMOS (?)

Thanks

Changing master to slave (on IDE drives is done by changing the jumpers on the back of the physical drive itself.

You can however go into the BIOS and change which drive you want to use as the primary boot drive.

Thanks, I'll try that.
