I left SK a month and a half ago, and wasn't aware how big an impact the nuclear bomb test had made, until a Korean kid I was tutoring today told me the impact was felt, much like an earthquake, by South Koreans. And that South Koreans were starting to flee the country. I came home and googled it and saw that the bomb test registered on Russian seismograph..

Did anyone feel it?

Okay, not 'fleeing' per se. I believe my student's words were along the lines of:

'everybody is flying over here!'
me: ' everybody? you mean people you know?'
him: 'yes! everyone!'
me: 'you mean they are flying to canada?'
him: 'yes, canada and the US'

Read the news about the impact of this bomb (on the physical earth, not the society). If you felt it, you were too drunk, that wasn't a nuclear bomb, that was your belly.

Yesterday morning, at 8:40, I woke up with a start, believing a second nuclear test had taken place. When none appeared in the news, I was relieved (but a little disappointed at my lack of prescience.)
