This woman's story was reported a year ago, but she has been undergoing treatments, and the update on her story will be on SBS on Thurs. night at 9pm. Here is how she used to look as a singer, and then how she looked a year ago:
She was addicted to plastic surgery, and when her family stopped her, she started injecting soybean oil into her skin herself. I'll try to find the link to the article. |

It's quite true. I saw a number of news reports about her last year. The last I heard her face has gone back down to almost its original size but she is irreversibly scarred.
Also as I recall she has two daughters...  |

Right, so it's not actually a story about the dangers of plastic surgery as some people would clearly wish it to be. Not that I'm into plastic surgery, far from it. But it was rather hard to stomach the idea that plastic surgens had messed her up that much. I didn't know this part of it till now. Its particularly poignant because she was actually quite stunning before she started, and had absolutely no need for surgery at all. Then again, in my world, no one does. |
