It's so ridiculous how in the states, Halloween, Thanskgiving and Christmas items all appear on shelves at the same time. Christmas songs played in October are also ridiuclous. Geez, people can't even enjoy one holiday without being bombarded with another. It's nice to bypass this mess when I am in Korea.

Actually I noticed most Lotte department stores are decked out for Christmas. All 'n' all working ESL over Christmas in Korea has its advantages. There's zero holiday stress. No worries about buying everyone presents, no worries about making sure your trip home for the holidays won't be spoiled by bad weather or traffic.

I meant me, personally. Since I don't go anywhere for any holiday (be it my own nation's obligatory high holy family days, or Korean holidays), I live a life relatively free of holiday prep/travel stress. It's sweet.

Yeah it's absolutely wonderful avoiding the commercialized holidays. The Oct - Dec period in the US used to really grate on my nerves something serious.

If you come to me in America, I will have it all stopped. I promise.
